Nutraceuticals
Nutraceuticals represent a burgeoning area of the health food
sector that may have significant impact on community health.
Nutraceuticals are naturally occurring substances (including
proteins) or part thereof (e.g. peptides) that are present in raw
and processed foods (e.g. milk and dairy products) that display
biological activities of health benefit. Such activities have been
identified from a variety of plant and animal sources.
