AGR2

The European region is the first jurisdiction to award a patent for the blood borne biomarker, currently being evaluated by HealthLinx. HealthLinx are the first group in the world to prove that AGR2 is secreted and circulated in human plasma (published in Clinical Science, March 2010). AGR2 has shown evidence in part 1 of the second multi-centre multi-national study to increase the performance of the OvPlex™ panel.

OvPlex™

An assay to detect a gynaecological condition

The OvPlex™ test examines a series of biomarkers from a blood sample deemed important in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer. It includes the current ‘gold standard’ biomarker CA125. Importantly, the granted patent covers not only the combination of proprietary biomarkers, but also the methodology used for implementing the test in a typical clinical pathology environment.
